Real Wedding: Marix & Arjay (Part 1)

14 08 2009

Got an awesome note today from a recent bride! Oh happy day!

2941 Restaurant weddingHi Vicky,

Yesterday was awesome….I didn’t get the chance to truly thank you for ALL the help and support you gave us.  The vendors you recommended were all awesome – Eric was great! Linda was great (flowers were really beautiful), Rick and Bruce were amazing and very gifted photographers, Mike Valenti – oh my what can I say about Mike he was awesome…even going onto the dance floor to lead the dancing!  Even the vendors you never worked before were great!  Le Salon at Tyson’s and Suzanne was really nice…her make up lasted until 3:30am!

Thank you soooo much, Vicky!  We truly, truly appreciate eveything!

Thanks Marix and Arjay! I had a blast helping you plan your wedding and wish you guys all the best!

OK stay tuned for a vendor round up (Part 2) and photos/recap (Part 3) soon.

Wear: June Shin Jewelry Bridal Collection

June Shin pearl cluster wedding jewelry

Pearl Cluster

We featured my high school friend June Shin‘s necklaces as gifts for your bridesmaids last year. Since then, June got married herself and started designing a bridal line for her jewelry collection! Check it out on her Etsy page.

June can also custom design a piece for you if you don’t see something already in her collection that suits your needs. A bride-to-be asked her to design a variation on one of her earrings to match the bridesmaids’ yellow dresses.

I just love her unique and delicate designs and have now amassed quite a large collection! I’ve got the Butterfly Migration Necklace and Earrings, Tree of Life necklace, and a Virgo Zodiac necklace. I’m eyeing the Blackened Mariposa next!

Happy shopping! Vicky

Real Wedding: Allison & Kevin (Part 2)

10 08 2009

Go back to Part 1 for a recap of Allison and Kevin’s wedding. Go to Genevieve Leiper’s blog for more photos.

Being both NY Giants fans, Kevin and Allison contacted the football team and asked if Bob Papa, the play-by-play voice of the team could make a recording that would be used for their introductions at the reception. The team was gracious enough and got Papa to do it! The guests were all so surprised!

Holly Chappel designed a lush but whimsical arrangement for the window ledge at Whitehall. It was just stunning at night!

Such a happy and cheerful wedding and couple! Love the fellow NY Giants fans!
